Thank you from Asbury & West United Church

October 2015

Dear Michel Labbe:

On behalf of the congregation at Asbury and West, I am writing to express our gratitude for your generosity and for that of Dell Park Co-Operative. The cheque that we received is much needed and greatly appreciated.

I would like to add my personal appreciation to you, Dell Park and to Options for Homes.  It could never have been completed without your personal skill, wise council and sheer determination. The new apartment building is a gem and adds life to our community.

Options for Homes and Asbury and West United Church started this project with clear objectives. Options for Homes wanted to provide a cost effective housing project for low to middle income Torontonians and, under your leadership the project succeeded.  Asbury and West United Church wanted to renew our church building and stabilize the finances of our congregation so that we can continue to serve the Bathurst and Lawrence community.  Asbury and West are delighted with our new building even though it took far longer and cost more to complete than we had hoped.

During all phases of the church’s project you provided financial assistance and professional advice. We could not have done it without you. It was not your fault that the church’s building project was more costly than expected and yet you came to our aid and assistance with two generous donations. Thank you.

Please express our gratitude to Dell Park Co-Operative Board. It has been an honour and a privilege to work with you on this project. You are truly an honourable and trustworthy partner.  Words cannot express our gratitude.

Blessings from Asbury and West United Church,

Alan McKenzie, Chair, Building Renovation Committee and Finance,
Asbury and West United Church.
